Really enjoyed trying out the Lenny Lamb Preschool carrier with my daughters over the last few days.
The carrier is recommended from age 1 to age 6yrs - max 30kg. The carrier has an adjustable back panel that can be adjusted on height and width, to fit your child perfectly. The waistband has their new buckle closure, where the buckle can be easily unclipped with one hand. The small pouch on the wasitband with the magnetic closure is very handy for keeping phone/nappy/purse handy. The shoulder straps which can be worn crossed or rucksack style have dual adjustable straps which means that no matter what direction you're pulling the webbing, you're never pulling at an awkward angle against your wrist. There are pfa's (perfect fit adjusters) on the shoulder straps so the carrier will fit a wide range of sizes. The baby hood unclips and is elasticated with long straps, which makes for easy reaching when back carrying. The small pouch on the wasitband with the magnetic closure is very handy for keeping phone/nappy/purse handy. I really like the level of padding on the shoulder straps and waistband and always feel that it gives great support. The carrier comes in a range of patterns with something to suit everyone. Things that draw me to LennyLamb: I have always liked carriers with pfa's as I found them so handy when breastfeeding. I would have the pfa's closed and then open them when I wanted to adjust the carrier slightly to breastfeed my baby, it meant it was easier for me to readjust the carrier and keep my little one in a comfortable position when they were feeding. I really like the option of straps that cross or can be worn rucksack style. I like supporting a homegrown family friendly busiiness I initially tried the LennyLamb Preschool carrier with my 3yr old and carried her in front and on my back. It was lovely to have some slingy cuddles with her as she wants to walk and scoot everywhere and will hardly ever go up in the carrier. I put the carrier to the test by putting my almost 7yr old in a back carry and was pleasantly surprised at how well her legs were supported and that the back panel reached right up to her neck. Her weight sat on my hips so I'd definitely be able to carry her for a quick 30mins or so although it would be almost never she'd be looking for me to carry her at all these days but it's great to have the option when you're out on a long hike or a day at the zoo! All in all, I'm really happy with this new addition to the Lenny Lamb family and I'll be looking forward to customer feedback as the carrier is also available to hire so you can try before you buy!

We're almost 7 months along this Covid-19 journey and it's been a year like no other! I've been offering Babywearing Consultations online via Zoom since lockdown in March and they've proved very popular. I've helped people with their slings from further afield than I'd ever be able to travel in-person. While we're still in these uncertain times and with restrictions changing as they are, I'm continuing to offer Babywearing Consultations via Zoom. There are no in-person babywearing consultations available at present. How it works: Obviously there's nothing that can beat an in-person babywearing consultation where you are getting real time, hands on assistance with your sling. When you book an online babywearing consultation, I will send you an information form to get some details about you and your child and what sling you'd like to use. Once your appointment has been confirmed, you will receive a scheduled Zoom invite along with some information on what we'll be practising on the day. During your online babywearing consultation, we will discuss safe babywearing and how to dress your baby for the sling. I will demonstrate how to use your chosen sling with my weighted demo doll and then we will practise together. You will be encouraged to repeat the steps until you're confident using your sling and you'll be given time to ask any questions you may have. Your online babywearing consultation will be followed up with an email detailing your session. You're also given a FREE 15 minute Zoom Call FOLLOW UP within 2 weeks of your initial consultation for tweaking or troubleshooting your carrier or to ask any questions you may have. I also offer a free follow up by phone, email or text at any stage after your babywearing consultation, so don't worry, you're not just left to fend for yourself afterwards! The cost for a 1hr Zoom Babywearing Consultation is €35 and can be booked here. If you've got some questions before you make your booking, please get in touch. Or if you'd like to gift someone a babywearing consultation, you can buy a gift voucher here. Sling Hire:
You can hire a sling in advance of your babywearing consultation by booking it here. Collection from Swords or postal hire is also available. Sling Hire T&C apply |
